Background Information
Adventist LMS Guest House & Conference Centre is a Seventh-day Adventist Church Institution run by East Kenya Union Conference. Its inauguration was done by the late Elder Robert Stanley Folkenberg who was then President of General Conference on May 12th, 1998, as a training facility for literature evangelists. This initial objective is reflected in the initials ‘LMS’ standing for Literature Ministry Seminary. The Centre has since grown to be a preferred destination for both Adventists and Non-Adventists a like in need of hospitality services in a Christian environment.
At the time of inauguration, the institution had 39 accommodation rooms, 4 conference halls and 2 lounges. The facility has since extended to a new block we call South Wing with 16 additional more rooms and a large conference hall that can hold up to 200 pax! The South wing was opened on November 25, 2007, by Pr. Geoffrey Mbwana, the then East Central Africa Division President and now retired.
Location
The Adventist LMS Guest House and Conference Centre is located in the prime location of Kilimani within Nairobi Central Business District. It is a preferred destination for both local and international clientele. The Nairobi SDA Church Guest House is sandwiched by iconic land marks like Statehouse, Serena Hotel, Nairobi Police Regional Headquarters, Integrity Centre hosting Ethics And Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), All Saints Cathedral and Christ Is The Answer Ministries (CITAM) Valley Road among others. The facility is known for her affordable accommodation services, lacto-vegetarian restaurant services and conference halls for all your meeting needs in a quiet Christian ambience.
Front Office / Reception
Our Front Office is always at your service 24/7 for all your enquiries, customer care needs, invoicing and payments. However, from 10 o’clock in the night we start controlling movements for the sake of security of inhouse guests. The check-in procedures are seamless. Guests are encouraged to fill in online check-in form online at the point of reservation so save time on filling check-in cards upon arrival. Advance payments of at least 80% of the total estimated booking amount is a prerequisite to confirm advance reservation. We receive Cash payments, Visa, Master cards and Mpesa.
Marketing Office / Business Office
The hotel has a vibrant marketing office for all your concerns, compliments and areas of improvement. At the marketing office, guests are free to register their satisfaction and dissatisfaction through given anonymous feedback forms (physical or online questionnaires). It is through the marketing office guests can seek considerations for special dietary needs, large groups / long stays discounts and liaison services.
Accommodation Services
We assure our clients of comfort when it comes to serene accommodation. We have so far seven categories of rooms: Standard, Twin, Deluxe, Self-Catering, Executive, Superior and Family rooms. We have 55 rooms with the bed capacity of over 120 persons. All rooms are self-contained with warm showers. The guests can have their laundry done by our courteous laundry attendants operating within the establishment. All rooms are fitted with TV sets tuned to several local and international channels including Hope Channel Kenya and DSTV for sports lovers.
Laundry Services
The hospitality facility has laundry services onsite for linen cleaning and guests’ convenience. Dry cleaning services can be outsourced from our partners in the neighborhood.
Internet Connection
At the Adventist LMS Guest House and Conference Centre, guests are able to access high-speed internet connection through WIFI and Local Area Network (LAN). The internet connection can be accessed in rooms, conference halls, restaurants and around the premises.
Restaurant Services
The Guest House operates 2 restaurants. The restaurants are well known for elaborate vegetarian food varieties. Part of our clientele includes patients who have been referred to us by dietitians. Our chefs are highly experienced in preparing juices and cocktails using natural fruits.
Conference Services
We have 6 conference halls in total with the capacity range of 5 to 200 pax. Guests who prefer outdoor consultations can comfortably meet under tents in our garden. Our largest hall is Simba with a sitting capacity of up to 200 pax! The hall is fitted with an inbuilt sound system with a strong WIFI and LAN internet signals. The LCD projector, additional sound system equipment and other ICT components are readily available for hire.
Security
Our security arrangement is superb. Nairobi area Police Station headquarters is a stone throw away. Every corner of the Guest House is covered with 24-hour CCTV surveillance. At the gate, guests are met with friendly security checks before being ushered into the check-in lobby to a waiting receptionist. Accommodation room doors are fitted with anti-burglary security locks.

Leadership
Adventist LMS Guest House and Conference Centre is an East Kenya Union Conference institution that was inaugurated on May 12th, 1998 by the then General Conference President, the late Elder Robert Stanley Folkenberg. So far 4 Business Managers have had a chance to serve at the Guest House since the inception. Elder Paul Kimwomi was the first in the queue (1998) followed by Joseph Keino, Brown Kitur and Bro Babu Jared Alfred. Elder Paul Kimwomi was again seconded back to head the institution from mid-2017. After his retirement in 2024, Elder Babu was also deployed back in the same year to head the hospitality institution.
The General Manager is the chair of the internal administration committee comprised of 5 departmental heads overseeing Accounts, Housekeeping, Front Office, Marketing, Food production & services. Our staffs are highly trained in their specialties and each year the management organizes refresher courses to keep them updated with emerging challenges in the hospitality industry
